Gracie Abrams, who opened for 49 shows on Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, described the final night in Vancouver as deeply emotional.
"Everyone had been crying all day. It felt like the last day of school backstage," Abrams shared.
The backstage atmosphere was filled with crew members signing each other's tour books, marking the end of a significant journey.
Touring with Swift allowed Abrams to learn extensively, as she watched and studied Swift's performances closely.
Abrams noted a surge in audience engagement after releasing her single "That's So True" during the tour.
A highlight for Abrams was performing a surprise mashup with Swift in Toronto, blending "Out of the Woods" and their collaboration "Us."
Reflecting on the tour's end, Abrams expressed gratitude for the experience and the close bonds formed.
She is now preparing for her own North American tour, set to begin in July 2025.
Abrams aims to apply the lessons learned from Swift to her upcoming performances.
