Bluey and the Heeler Family Set to Join Disney Parks and Cruises

Pluto and Goofy will soon have new canine companions joining them at Disney parks and on Disney cruises. Starting next month, Bluey and the Heeler family from the beloved animated series will make their debut, delighting fans of all ages.

Disney announced on Dec. 19 that characters from Bluey will be featured on Disney Cruise Line ships and at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World.

“We’re thrilled that Bluey and Bingo will be bringing their magic to Disney Cruises, creating unforgettable moments for families on the high seas,” said Ludo Studio, the Australian animation studio behind the series, in a press release.

Fans can meet the Heeler family on cruises departing from Australia and New Zealand starting in January. Experiences will include meet-and-greets, an interactive scavenger hunt, and a lively dance party showcasing Bluey’s iconic dance moves. Additional details about these interactive activities will be revealed in the coming months.

Nicki Sheard, CEO of BBC Studios, Brands and Licensing, shared her excitement, stating, “Introducing the Heeler family to Disney Parks and Cruises is the perfect way to celebrate an incredible year for Bluey. We’re committed to creating top-tier experiences for fans and can’t wait to welcome families next year.”

Disney Experiences chairman Josh D’Amaro added, “Bluey has become a beloved part of families’ lives worldwide, and we’re excited to see our youngest guests and their families make cherished memories with Bluey at our parks and on our cruises.”

This exciting announcement follows recent news that Bluey will hit the big screen in 2027. Series creator Joe Brumm expressed his enthusiasm, saying he has always envisioned a theatrical movie for Bluey, describing it as a unique event for families to enjoy together.

While plot details remain under wraps, the film will feature the voices of Melanie Zanetti and David McCormack as Chilli and Bandit, Bluey’s parents. Joff Bush, the show’s composer, will create new music for the project. The film will be produced by Ludo Studio in collaboration with BBC Studios and Disney.

The popular animated series, which has become a global sensation, follows Bluey, a lively and imaginative blue heeler puppy, along with her family and friends. Through her playful adventures, Bluey brings joy and laughter to viewers around the world.
