Benji Madden recently honored his wife, Cameron Diaz, in a heartfelt Instagram post celebrating both their 10th wedding anniversary and her return to acting. The Good Charlotte musician, 45, shared a rare photo of the couple, expressing his admiration for Diaz, 52.
Praising her multiple roles as a wife, mother, friend, partner, and professional, Madden wrote, “This is my QUEEN ❤️. We just hit 10 YEARS married on January 5th, and every year only gets more fulfilling. Never perfect – always real – always reliable. Every day getting to have my best friend with me ride or die … what a beautiful life – I am GRATEFUL!!! 🙏”
Madden also expressed excitement over Diaz’s return to the screen with her new Netflix film Back in Action, her first movie role since Annie in 2014. He shared his support, writing, “ANOTHER MILESTONE happening TOMORROW!!! We are SO happy to see you … BACK IN ACTION!! … Congrats baby!!❤️❤️❤️🎉🎉🎉 @camerondiaz ❤️ GO watch it on @netflix 😛😛🤘🤘🤘🎉”
The post included a selfie of the couple and a glamorous photo of Diaz in a silver dress with bold red lipstick. Among the comments, Benji’s twin brother and bandmate, Joel Madden, responded with red heart emojis, while Avril Lavigne called Diaz a “Queen 👑.”
Diaz stars in Back in Action alongside Jamie Foxx, where they play former CIA agents forced back into the field after their identities are exposed.
In a 2024 appearance at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit, Diaz opened up about her return to acting, crediting Madden’s support. She described her husband as “the best” and shared how he encouraged her to focus on her career after she had spent significant time prioritizing family life.
Diaz explained that stepping back from acting allowed her to build the life she wanted, saying, “Nobody’s opinion, nobody’s success, no one’s offer, no one’s anything could change my mind about my decision of taking care of myself and building the life that I really wanted to have.”
