Ariarne Titmus Beats Katie Ledecky in 400 Freestyle
Katie Ledecky reflected on her bronze medal performance in the 400 free during a press conference after the final in Paris. She expressed her gratitude for securing a medal in such a competitive field, acknowledging the possibility of missing out entirely. Ledecky stated, “I’m grateful for the effort that I put in, happy with the medal, and looking forward to my next races.”
She admitted that she hasn’t felt she’s fully reached her potential in the 400 recently but is confident it’s within her capabilities. Ledecky also got emotional discussing her training partners, Bobby Finke and Kieran Smith, and the supportive environment they’ve created. She shared, “It’s just a really special group, and it’s why I love the sport so much. I get to spend every day with people like Bobby and Kieran, my coaches, and everyone who believes in me and pushes me. The confidence I had today is a testament to them.”
