Joe Jonas Opens Up About Life in Miami and Upcoming Album

Joe Jonas recently reflected on his life in Miami, where he’s lived for the past seven years. Speaking at The Wellness Oasis event during Art Basel/Miami Art Week, the 35-year-old musician shared how he “fell in love” with the city.

“Honestly, it is grounding,” Jonas said, addressing common misconceptions about Miami. “People think it’s just clubs everywhere, but you can also go to the beach, relax, and watch the sunset.” He described the city as “really beautiful” and praised its slower pace of life, which he finds essential for his well-being.

The event, held on December 5 and 6 at 1 Hotel South Beach, brought together wellness advocates like Dr. Deepak Chopra, Goldie Hawn, Big Sean, and others. Jonas spoke about the impact Miami has had on his music, revealing that it’s inspired him to explore Cuban Jazz.

As an artist, Jonas reflected on the balance between vulnerability and mystery in songwriting. “You’re so vulnerable when you release music or perform on stage,” he said. “But I love the challenge of creating songs that are relatable to many people while sharing my heart.”

Jonas also revealed that he has a new album on the way, saying, “I realized I had more to say and more life I’ve lived, so I made sure to include that in this album. It’s a lot of songs, but I can’t wait to share them.”

Miami, with its mix of culture and calm, continues to inspire Jonas as both an artist and a resident.
