Billie Eilish Opens Up About Personal Growth and Privacy

Billie Eilish recently opened up about her personal life, including fulfilling a long-held desire for meaningful connections and intimacy, during her annual Vanity Fair interview. The singer, now 23, reflected on goals she set in 2023, such as making new friends and experiencing “good sex,” and confirmed with a playful thumbs-up that she had achieved them.

“I’ve done nothing but make friends all year,” Eilish shared, adding that she rekindled past friendships and formed new ones. Addressing her younger self, she added, “And yes, I’ve had a lot of good sex. So you’re welcome, Billie.”

This candid admission contrasts with her recent remarks in Vogue’s November cover story, where she expressed regret over being open about her sexuality and relationships. She shared her desire to keep these aspects of her life private, stating, “I’m never talking about my sexuality or who I’m dating ever again.”

Eilish acknowledged that she underestimated how her words could become major headlines and vowed to be more cautious moving forward, saying, “We’re all little kids growing up and learning ourselves.”

The Grammy winner’s past relationships include Jesse Rutherford, with whom she split in May 2023 after eight months, and actor Matthew Tyler Vorce, as well as rapper 7:AMP, whose relationship with Eilish was detailed in her 2021 Apple TV+ documentary.
