Mika Abdalla has landed a recurring role in Max’s highly anticipated medical drama The Pitt, with her character’s details currently being kept under wraps. Her arc is expected to span the entire 15-episode season, making her an integral part of the series. Abdalla will join a robust cast including Noah Wyle, Tracy Ifeachor, Patrick Ball, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez, and Katherine LaNasa. Recent additions also include actors like Shawn Hatosy, Michael Hyatt, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Brandon Mendez Homer, Kristin Villanueva, Amielynn Abellera, Alexandra Metz, Krystel V. McNeil, and Deepti Gupta.
According to the official logline, The Pitt is a gritty, realistic portrayal of the challenges faced by healthcare workers in modern America, focusing on the lives of frontline workers in a hospital set in Pittsburgh. With production having started in August, the series is expected to bring a grounded, emotional narrative to viewers when it premieres in 2025.
The show is being spearheaded by R. Scott Gemmill, who serves as both creator and showrunner. Gemmill has a long history with medical dramas, having served as executive producer on ER and NCIS: Los Angeles.
