Kelly Ripa isn’t letting a construction site outside her New York City townhouse dampen her festive spirit. During the Dec. 9 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, the 54-year-old host shared how she turned the eyesore into a holiday display.

“We decorated the construction site,” she explained, showing off the structure adorned with a giant red bow and topped with an inflatable snowman. While her husband and co-host Mark Consuelos, 53, wasn’t thrilled with the snowman at first, Ripa joked that neighborhood dogs now love it, using the display as their “pee present.”

Inside their home, Ripa faced a different challenge: a Christmas tree too large for the space. “It was like a scene from National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” she said, describing how the massive tree stood three feet taller than their ceiling. They eventually replaced it with what she humorously called “Treezempic” or “Pinejaro” – a slimmer, more manageable tree.

The couple had to get creative, tucking their 33-year-old ornament collection deep into the tree’s fragile branches, which struggled to hold even the lightest decorations. Despite the hiccups, Ripa’s humor and creativity brought festive charm to her home, proving that holiday spirit can shine through any obstacle.
