Luke Bryan recently shared his humorous disappointment over missing out on PEOPLE’s “Sexiest Man Alive” title during the opening monologue of the 58th annual Country Music Association Awards. While cohosting the event alongside Lainey Wilson and Peyton Manning, Bryan joked about losing the title to this year’s honoree, John Krasinski. The “Buy Dirt” singer, who has never received the coveted accolade, said, “This isn’t easy. I don’t know how I got left out.”

Bryan, 48, offered some lighthearted advice to first-time CMA host Wilson, encouraging her to “shake that butt” when in a rut. Manning, however, advised her not to take Bryan’s advice, stating, “I told Lainey just to smile, have fun, and not listen to a single word Luke Bryan says.” Known for his signature dance moves, particularly in his 2011 music video for “Country Girl (Shake It For Me),” Bryan brought his trademark humor to the stage.

Wilson, 32, joined the hosting lineup this year, adding her unique flair to the event after Manning and Bryan cohosted together in 2022 and 2023. She expressed her excitement about the role back in September, calling it “an incredible honor” and something she had always dreamed of doing.

The awards show opened with a performance of “California Sober” by Post Malone and Chris Stapleton, followed by Shaboozey performing “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” The 58th Annual CMA Awards aired live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 20 and is available for streaming on Hulu.

Kennedy Jr.’s recent nomination to lead the Department of Health and Human Services in President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet, according to a source close to the couple. The source says that Hines, while not aligned with a specific political party, supports her husband’s political views.

On November 14, Trump announced the nomination on social media, stating that Kennedy would play a key role in protecting Americans from harmful substances and health risks. The nomination, however, still requires Senate confirmation.

Following the announcement, Hines and Kennedy were seen enjoying the evening together at an event at Mar-a-Lago, where they appeared happy, holding hands, and enjoying the company of admirers, including Trump. Hines was described as laughing and supportive of her husband.

Kennedy has been dealing with public controversy following a sexting scandal involving a political reporter, which surfaced during his independent presidential campaign. After the news broke, reports suggested that Hines and Kennedy had minimal communication for a short period, and Hines even traveled to Europe.

Despite the challenges, the couple, married since 2014, appears to have reconciled. A video shared in October shows the two sharing a tender moment at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner in New York, where they were seen laughing, cuddling, and kissing.

Elle Macpherson on Overcoming Alcohol Addiction and Battling Breast Cancer

Elle Macpherson is opening up about her past struggles with alcohol addiction in her new book, Life, Lessons & Learning to Trust Yourself. Released on November 19, the 60-year-old Australian supermodel reveals how her seemingly perfect life masked deep inner battles.

“My life looked amazing to everybody, but deep down, I was really struggling,” she writes.

Macpherson shares that her challenges intensified after the birth of her son Cy in 2003, whom she shares with French financier Arpad “Arki” Busson. Despite being advised by her naturopaths to avoid alcohol postpartum, she recalls being fixated on a bottle of champagne gifted to her after Cy’s birth.

As she coped with her partner’s frequent travels and her older son Flynn’s hospital visits, Macpherson turned to alcohol to ease her anxiety. Evenings often ended with vodka after putting her children to bed, a habit that later led to blackouts and feelings of guilt.

She reflects on a particularly low moment after the 2000 Olympics, where she drank heavily to calm her nerves before a ceremony, leaving her disoriented. Her partner discouraged her from seeking rehab, fearing change and separation.

Macpherson describes a dark spiral of balancing work, motherhood, and her relationship, admitting to unhealthy coping mechanisms like binge drinking and purging. Her turning point came when she drank from a vodka bottle shattered by glass shards—realizing her dependence had become dangerous.

In her book, she also opens up about her breast cancer diagnosis and her decision to forego chemotherapy. “Every day I actively feed my wellness and nurture myself,” she writes. For Macpherson, prioritizing health has been transformative: “Cancer is not an option for me anymore, just like drinking is no longer an answer.”

Florence Pugh recently shared her decision to freeze her eggs at 27 after discovering she had PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) and endometriosis—conditions that could affect her fertility. Speaking on Dear Media’s SHE MD podcast with Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi (“Dr. A”) and women’s advocate Mary Alice Haney, the now 28-year-old actress opened up about the journey that led to this life-changing decision.

Pugh explained that she felt a sudden urge to get her health checked after experiencing unusual dreams, saying, “I think my body was telling me.” When she consulted Dr. A, she was asked about her egg count—a concept she initially found surprising at her young age. Testing revealed her diagnoses, prompting the recommendation to freeze her eggs.

Reflecting on the news, Pugh admitted, “It was bizarre because my family are baby-making machines. My mom had babies into her forties, and my gran had babies throughout. So, finding out at 27 that I needed to act quickly was mind-boggling.” Despite the shock, she expressed gratitude for the timely discovery, as having children has been a lifelong dream.

PCOS, a common condition that can lead to infertility, irregular periods, acne, weight gain, and excessive hair growth, is often misunderstood, Pugh noted. Endometriosis, another condition affecting fertility, causes uterine-like tissue to grow in other parts of the body, leading to pain and heavy periods.

Pugh admitted she dismissed some of her symptoms, like acne, hair growth, and weight fluctuations, attributing them to stress or the challenges of womanhood. “I didn’t think constant weight fluctuation would be a symptom,” she said. Learning her diagnosis pushed her to rethink her lifestyle and future plans.

She emphasized the importance of raising awareness about fertility issues, saying, “If you have a dream of being a mum one day, these things are so important, much like learning how to check for breast lumps.” Pugh advocated for education on conditions like PCOS in schools, as they can significantly impact a woman’s ability to conceive.

Kim Kardashian is flaunting her latest high-tech gadgetry.

On Monday, Nov. 18, the SKIMS founder shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) introducing her new Tesla robot. “Meet my new friend 🦾🤖 @Tesla,” the 44-year-old captioned the clip.

In the video, Kardashian playfully asks the Tesla bot, “Can you do this? I love you?” while forming half of a hand heart. When the robot completes the gesture, she gasps in delight, saying, “You know how to do that?”

Over on her Instagram Stories, the American Horror Story actress showed the robot blowing kisses, playing Rock, Paper, Scissors, mimicking running, waving, and even performing the “Raise the Roof” dance. “You’re so cute!” she exclaimed as the robot interacted with her.

Tesla’s humanoid robot, known as Optimus or Gen 2, is expected to enter full production by 2026, with some internal use starting as early as next year. Reports suggest the robots could be priced between $20,000 and $30,000.

Kardashian later revealed a second Tesla bot in gold and a futuristic gold Tesla Cybercab, which has yet to be released. While it’s unclear if these are personal purchases, Kardashian, who owns a Tesla Cybertruck, seems to be among the first to test Tesla’s latest innovations.

Earlier this year, Kardashian’s son Psalm received a toy Cybertruck for his fifth birthday, gifted by her mom, Kris Jenner. In a video posted on May 9, Psalm excitedly announced, “I’m gonna drive this to school!” to which Kardashian laughed, “You can’t drive this to school. Get in it, let me see.”

She later thanked Jenner for the thoughtful gift, writing, “Thank you mom! @krisjenner for the coolest gift for Psalm’s birthday. Baby Cybertruck.”

Jaleel White, known for his iconic role as Steve Urkel on Family Matters, is opening up about his experiences growing up on set in his forthcoming memoir, Growing Up Urkel. The actor, now 47, was just a teenager when he rose to fame on the beloved sitcom, which aired from 1989 to 1998. In an excerpt published by The Sun, White reflects on the physical and mental challenges he faced during his time on the show, as well as changes made to his character as he grew older.

White explains that by the eighth season, show executives began to make adjustments to his character’s appearance, signaling that he was outgrowing the role. “Let’s get rid of the suspenders. Lower his pants, too. Oh, and… it’s getting a bit uncomfortable watching him in tight jeans. There’s a, uh… bulge,” White recalls being told. He described how he eventually felt like he was “peeling” himself out of his costume “like a banana” as he transitioned into adulthood during his college years.

The actor also shared how playing Urkel affected his voice. Speaking at 90s Con 2024 in Daytona Beach, Florida, on September 15, White revealed that maintaining his character’s signature high-pitched, nasal tone during puberty caused vocal strain. “I spoke to a doctor, and what happened is, during puberty, I spoke at the same pitch for extended periods of time,” he explained. “If the pitch had been going all over the place, I wouldn’t have damaged it quite as much.” White described the experience as frightening, especially as a teenager who felt he was “really losing” his voice due to constant feedback from producers. Fortunately, his vocal issues are now “in remission,” and he reassured fans that he is doing well.

White’s memoir, Growing Up Urkel, published by Simon & Schuster, hits shelves on Tuesday, November 19, and is available for preorder wherever books are sold.
