Sienna Miller Named Ambassador for The King’s Foundation

Sienna Miller has recently aligned herself with King Charles’ charitable endeavors as the newest ambassador for The King’s Foundation. Announced on December 12, the actress joins the organization to support its mission of fostering communities and transforming lives through educational programs focused on traditional skills and sustainability.

The King’s Foundation, established in 1990 by King Charles when he was the Prince of Wales, works to promote sustainability and preserve traditional craftsmanship, including textiles and embroidery. Miller, who was raised in London, shares a personal passion for the foundation’s goals, particularly in the area of textiles. She expressed her excitement about the role, noting her enthusiasm for supporting young talent in the industry.

Her appointment was celebrated at the foundation’s annual Christmas carol service at St. Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge, London. During the event, Miller gave a reading of Sir John Betjeman’s poem “Christmas” alongside Angelica Ellis, an embroidery graduate of The King’s Foundation and CHANEL Metiers d’art Embroidery Fellowship. Miller showcased her support for the foundation by wearing a navy double-breasted cashmere jumpsuit crafted by the organization’s textiles students, paired with red accessories and a gold necklace.

In a statement about her new role, Miller said she was “thrilled” to represent the foundation, emphasizing its ethos of sustainability and connection to the natural world. “I’m particularly looking forward to exploring my interest in textiles and textile production, an area where the foundation has immense expertise,” she said.

Miller has already been actively involved with the organization, including a visit to Dumfries House in September 2023 to learn more about its work and attending the annual Awards Ceremony at St. James’s Palace, where she presented the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award to designer and King’s Foundation graduate Isabelle Pennington-Edmead.

Miller’s appointment follows that of David Beckham, who became an ambassador in June 2023. Beckham has also supported the foundation’s efforts to preserve traditional crafts, particularly through its Metiers d’art Fellowship program. This program, based at Highgrove Gardens, inspires students through the garden’s flora and provides hands-on opportunities to develop their skills in embroidery and textiles.

Kirstina Murrin, Chief Executive of The King’s Foundation, praised Miller’s appointment, expressing delight at her involvement and dedication to the foundation’s mission of building sustainable communities and transforming lives globally.

Sienna Miller’s Heartwarming Journey with Baby Number Two

Sienna Miller recently shared insights into her family life and career during the premiere of her film Horizon: An American Saga in Los Angeles. Miller, co-parenting her eldest daughter Marlowe with ex Tom Sturridge, discussed Marlowe’s adjustment to having a newborn sibling at home.

Initially, Marlowe found the change overwhelming, but now she adores her six-month-old sister, whom Miller welcomed earlier this year with boyfriend Oli Green. Miller described how the baby idolizes Marlowe and lights up whenever she sees her, indicating a strong bond forming between the siblings.

Despite her recent travels, including attending the Cannes Film Festival with Marlowe, Miller joked about looking forward to some sleep this summer. She attended the premiere in an ivory Chloé dress with lace inserts, accessorized with vintage jewelry and Georgia boots.

In a 2022 interview with ELLE UK, Miller opened up about the pressures women face regarding motherhood in their forties. She mentioned freezing eggs and how her perspective on having more children has evolved with age, emphasizing a more relaxed approach to family planning.
