Jeff Bezos Celebrates Fiancée Lauren Sánchez’s Inspiring Year on Her 55th Birthday

News about Jeff Bezos

Jeff Bezos celebrated his fiancée Lauren Sánchez’s 55th birthday with a heartfelt tribute highlighting her incredible accomplishments over the past year. On Dec. 19, Bezos shared a sweet Instagram post praising Sánchez, including her success as a New York Times bestselling author with her children’s book, The Fly Who Flew to Space.

“What an incredible year — you set your mind to writing a children’s book, and now you’re a NYT bestselling author,” Bezos wrote, adding, “I have a feeling your next trip around the sun will be just as amazing. Happy birthday, baby!” The post included a photo of the couple with a cardboard cutout of Flynn the fly, the book’s main character.

Sánchez, who revealed her struggles with dyslexia during an interview about her book, expressed gratitude for the milestone. “Never in a million years did I think a dyslexic kid from Albuquerque would ever be an author,” she said. “It’s been a journey, but I’m so excited for people to meet Flynn the fly.”

Beyond publishing her book, Sánchez was honored at the 21st Annual Living Legends of Aviation Awards, where she received the Elling Halvorson Vertical Flight Hall of Fame Award for her achievements as a helicopter pilot and founder of Black Ops Aviation.

Sánchez also celebrated personal milestones with her children. In May, her oldest son, Nikko, graduated from college, and more recently, her younger son, Evan, was accepted to the University of Miami. Sánchez shares Nikko with ex-boyfriend Tony Gonzalez and Evan and her daughter Ella with ex-husband Patrick Whitesell.

Bezos and Sánchez, who went public with their relationship in 2019, became engaged in May 2023. Their year has been filled with achievements and personal moments, and as Bezos expressed, the future looks just as bright.

Kumail Nanjiani Mocks Trump on “Jimmy Kimmel Live”

On Thursday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” guest host Kumail Nanjiani poked fun at Donald Trump for his reaction to George Clooney’s op-ed, which called on President Joe Biden to drop his reelection bid. Trump responded by criticizing Clooney, saying, “Clooney should get out of politics and go back to television. Movies never really worked for him!!!”

Nanjiani pointed out that Clooney’s films have grossed a total of $3.5 billion.

“You know who movies never worked out for? Donald Trump!” Nanjiani quipped. “A man who somehow blew a one-second cameo in ‘Home Alone 2.’”

He continued to criticize Trump’s film appearances, mentioning his role as Waldo’s Dad in the 1994 “Little Rascals” movie. “Trump also messed up so badly in the ‘Little Rascals’ movie that this is the first time you’re hearing of it,” Nanjiani joked. “That’s right. He killed the ‘Little Rascals’ franchise like it knew the details of his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.”

Nanjiani then delivered a final jab at Trump, highlighting a significant difference between Clooney and Trump. “Of course, the big difference between George Clooney and Donald Trump is that George Clooney actually made money from a casino,” he said.
